How to help the Louisiana Flood Victims

The people of Louisiana are some of the most generous in the nation. They are hard-working folks -- proud of their rich heritage. They are among the first to step up and help in times of need.

Now -- it's our turn to help them.

"These families need our help," said Samaritan's Purse president Franklin Graham. "We want to remind them that they are not alone and show them God's love as we help them recover.

Below are links to several organizations that have my stamp of approval. These groups are coordinating disaster relief efforts. You can be assured that every dollar you send will be used to help victims of the flooding.

The recovery and restoration of Louisiana is going to take months, not weeks, folks.

Pastors and church mission teams should consider putting together teams to help with rebuilding efforts in the Spring and Summer. College students might want to consider using a portion of their Spring Break to help folks in Cajun Country.

But one of the most important things you can do -- is pray.

Here are the links to the ministries I endorse and support:

Family Research Council

Samaritan's Purse

Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief

Operation BBQ Relief
