Joni Hannigan

Joni B. Hannigan is a Cuban-American Navy veteran from Southern California now living in Florida. A spirited communicator and public relations specialist, she is a former newspaper editor who is an award winning writer, photojournalist and editor with thousands of pieces in print and online publications. Internationally and domestically, Joni has directed key coverage of natural disasters and refugee crises, political and social movements, sports and entertainment venues, and focused human-interest packages. She was a 10-year member of the board of directors of Hannibal LaGrange University (Mo.); and a charter member of the Houston’s Lady Lions Club where she was elected president and vice president for communications. Joni earned her Masters in Education from Park University in Missouri, and her undergraduate degree from Hannibal LaGrange University. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and a former member and officer of Baptist Communicator’s Association (BCA). She has been engaged in non-profit and for-profit business.
