Elon Musk, the African-American CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, shared he will be paying more in taxes this year than some countries make.
“For those wondering, I will pay over $11 billion in taxes this year,” Musk tweeted.
If his projection is to be believed, Musk will pay more than the GDPs in Burundi, South Sudan, and Somalia, according to the Nasdaq.
His tweet comes days after he slammed Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) as “Senator Karen” when she claimed he does not pay his fair share and is “freeloading off everyone else.”
In a series of messages, Musk previously said he “will pay more taxes than any American in history this year.”
Musk is the world’s richest person and his company Tesla is worth about $1 trillion, according to Newsmax.
