The New York Knicks announced if they advance to the second round of playoffs the team won’t sell tickets to anyone who isn’t fully vaccinated from the coronavirus, the Associated Press reports.
The NBA team made the announcement Friday, noting unvaccinated people will not be able to attend that possible game.
“So the New York Knicks are going to require fans to present papers before they are allowed inside Madison Square Garden? I seem to recall another time in world history when people had to show their papers,” national radio host and best-selling author Todd Starnes said Tuesday.
“It won’t be long before the Democrats will force Americans to carry some sort of vaccine passport. If you want to go to the grocery store or the movie theater or a public building, you’ll have to show government agents your official papers,” the Todd Starnes Show host added.
David Hopkinson, EVP, MSG Sports and President, Team Business Operations, celebrated the ban over the weekend.
“It’s moments like this that show us what’s possible if everyone gets vaccinated — we’ll all be able to get back to doing what we love — and that definitely includes being together to cheer on the Knicks at Madison Square Garden,” Hopkinson said in a statement.
