NOTE FROM TODD: We have now added a comments sections to all of my stories. Now, you can enjoy conversations with fellow conservatives without censorship!
An internationally-known spice company has come dangerously close to calling for an insurrection against President-elect Donald J. Trump.
Penzeys Spices, a company owned by a radical leftist who hates conservatives, sent packages of its product to thousands of its customers in Washington, D.C.
Owner Bill Penzey reportedly sent some 37,000 boxes of spices adorned with the anti-Trump messaging to government workers.
“Resist! Keep America Alive,” read a message on the packaging. What the heck is that supposed to mean? Are they calling on government workers to storm the White House armed with Mexican Oregano and Smoked Paprika?
“With the turmoil they are about to face, now more than ever all of us reaching out and appreciating government workers is unbelievably important,” Penzey wrote. “Lots of federal workers in DC, but lots of their family and friends and neighbors, too. We hope a good chunk of these boxes arrive right in those homes.
Among those turned off by the anti-Trump messaging was Katharine Gorka, chair of the Fairfax County Republican Committee (and the wife of our dear friend Sebastian Gorka).
“I used to love Penzey’s Spice Shop, but when they went political I stopped shopping there,” Gorka wrote on social media. “Now they have really crossed a line, sending out thousands of packets that say ‘Resist,’ because obviously the will of the voters does not matter. Time for us all to stop shopping at PENZEYs.”
Another former customer wrote, “political marketing disguised as activism. Disgusting.”
Last year the company drew the ire of President Trump when Vice President Harris visited one of its stores.
“Comrade Kamala Harris goes to an ultra Left Wing, Trump Hating, spice shop, which I hear has terrible, overpriced product, and calls for ‘unity,'” Trump posted.
Penzeys does not hide the fact that they hate President Trump and America First Conservatives. They literally ave a full page on its website explaining why they loathe folks who want to make America great again.
“Going forward we would still be glad to have you as customers, but we’re done pretending the Republican Party’s embrace of cruelty, racism, Covid lies, climate change denial, and threats to democracy are anything other than the risks they legitimately are. If you need us to pretend you are not creating the hurt you are creating in order for you to continue to be our customer, I’m sad to say you might be happier elsewhere,” Penzeys wrote.
Not only did the America First movement trigger a case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, but it also gave Penzeys a bad case of indigestion. Read my new book, “Twilight’s Last Gleaming: Can America Be Saved?”
