Two years ago we launched the Faith and Freedom Celebration to generate scholarships for students at Truett McConnell University.
Our first year featured an incredible keynote address by Oliver North and last year we hosted Gov. Mike Huckabee.
I’ve just been told by our friends at Truett McConnell University that the celebrations have generated more than $300,000! Our readers, listeners and viewers are incredibly generous with their gifts! Wow!!
Truett McConnell is a Southern Baptist version of Hillsdale College – a school that is deeply rooted in the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. They are raising up the next generation of preachers and patriots.
The money raised by our annual faith and freedom celebration is used to send students on mission trips around the globe. It is also used to help pay down student debt for missionaries.
“Todd sets the stage and leads the charge as we honor our faith, celebrate our country, and raise scholarship dollars for our students,” TMU President Emir Caner said.
We would not be able to host this event without the great support of our radio partners like WDUN in Gainesville, Georgia and WRWH in Cleveland, Georgia.
“The Faith and Freedom Celebration gives our community a great opportunity to express our love for America and appreciation to God for the freedom we enjoy,” WRWH general manager Dean Dyer said.
