Panhandle Junior High School in Texas started a Bible study for teenagers called “Donuts & God.”
I can’t think of a better combo.
The kids get a sugar-high by eating glazed donuts and they get a spiritual high by reading God’s Word.
But the Freedom From Religion Foundation got wind of the event and they are now threatening to sue the school district.
The Wisconsin-based group of atheists have a history of targeting smaller school districts. They’re about as welcome as a cavity.
President Trump says my new book is a must-read before Election Day. It’s called “Twilight’s Last Gleaming: Can America Be Saved?” Click here to get a copy.
“The district recently promoted and celebrated attendance at Panhandle Junior High’s study group on its official Facebook page. One picture of the post includes a Bible quote from the Old Testament, Proverbs 4:25-27: ‘Let your eyes look forward; fix your gaze straight ahead. Carefully consider the path for your feet, and all your ways will be established. Don’t turn to the right or to the left; keep your feet away from evil,'” the atheists wrote.
Does anyone else find it creepy that a bunch of atheists were stalking a junior high school’s Facebook page?
They allege that government-sponsored Bible studies are against the law and that advancing a religious message is inappropriate and divisive.
They say Panhandle Junior High may not host or promote the “Donuts & God” Bible study.
Fortunately, this is a Texas school – so hopefully the Lone Star State will politely inform the atheists to pound sand.
Only a godless, heathen atheist would get triggered by a dozen glazed donuts.
