Baylor University Labels 9/11 Memorial as “Sensitive Content”

The following is a transcript of Todd’s morning radio commentary.

Hello Americans. I’m Todd Starnes with news and commentary next.

Americans were determined to never forget what the Muslim radicals did to our nation on September 11^th, 2001. That was the day they waged jihad on our fellow countrymen – in the name of the religion of peace.

In response, Americans embraced the red, white and blue.

At Baylor University the Young Conservatives of Texas started a tradition – posting some 3 thousand American flags on campus – in memory of those who lost their lives on that terrible day.

No political messages. No religious messages. Just American flags.

But apparently the presence of all of those flags turned out to be a triggering event to students at the Texas university.

The school’s student activities department posted a sign – advising people of “sensitive content.”

Young Conservatives of Texas was stunned – a trigger warning for an event that should unite Americans, not divide.

“These signs amount to nothing short of a trigger warning for an event that should unite all Americans,” the group wrote in a press release. “As Baylor students, this is incredibly saddening for us to see. 

The students rightly pointed out that 9/11 is a day that we can forget our political identities and come together to remember those who died and celebrate the triumph of our nation over evil.

“We ask that the University formally apologize to the Baylor community for displaying the signs at our memorial in order to assert their commitment to the victims of 9/11,” the release stated.

Baylor University is supposed to be a Christian university. Then again, Harvard and Yale were founded to train up preachers. And we all know how that turned out.
