Hello Americans, I’m Todd Starnes. Stand by for news and commentary next.
Former NCAA championship swimmer Riley Gaines was brutally beaten by a man wearing a dress in San Francisco. Watch the video below.
“She told me she was hit multiple times by a guy in a dress. I was shaking. It made me that mad. It makes me sick to feel so helpless about it,” said Louis Barker, Gaines’ husband. “She was under police protection and was still hit by a man wearing a dress.”
It happened at a Turning Point USA and Leadership Institute event at San Francisco State University. Ms. Gaines had been invited to campus to deliver a speech about saving women’s sports.
“Instead of a thoughtful discussion tonight at SFSU, Riley was violently accosted, shouted at, physically assaulted, and barricaded in a room by protestors It is stunning that in America in 2023, it is acceptable for biological male students to violently assault a woman for standing up for women’s rights,” spokesman Eli Bremer told Fox News.
In 2021 Gaines, a highly decorated swimmer, tied with Lia Thomas – a man who identifies as a woman during a swimming tournament. Organizers gave Thomas the trophy and not Ms. Gaines.
And now she’s become an advocate for defending biological female athletes.
While at the university she was violently accosted and assaulted by pro-transgender activists including a man who was wearing a dress.
Police escorted Ms. Gaines out of the room and was barricaded on campus for her protection.
“The prisoners are running the asylum at SFSU…I was ambushed and physically hit twice by a man,” Gaines wrote in a tweet. “This is proof that women need sex-protected spaces. Still only further assures me I’m doing something right. When they want you silent, speak louder.”
TPUSA says the riot was organized by the university’s Queer and Trans Resource Center.
“This will not stop Riley from boldly educating people of the dangers of biological males in women’s sports. She will continue to speak the truth against the radical left that no longer understands the difference between men and women,” Bremer told Fox.
This sort of behavior is unacceptable on a university campus — especially one funded by our tax dollars.
Here’s what needs to happen. The resource center should be disbanded and the students involved in the protest expelled. If that does not happen, alumni should cancel their donations. And Republicans in Congress need to block all federal funding to San Francisco State University.
Either protect the First Amendment and stop the violence or lose your taxpayer cash.
