CANCEL CULTURE: School District Bans Classic Novels
NOTE: The following is a transcript of Todd’s morning radio commentary.
Hello Americans. I’m Todd Starnes with news and commentary next.
The Burbank Unified School District in California has decided to ban a number of classic novels.
To Kill a Mockingbird and Huckleberry Finn are on the list. So is the John Steinbeck classic – Of Mice and Men.
School leaders say parents had concerns that the books were racist – and might harm black children. Had parents bothered to read the books, they would’ve realized the narratives were in fact anti-racist. But facts don’t seem to matter these days.
Anything they find offensive must be destroyed. It amounts to a cultural cleansing of our society. A culture jihad.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Social media is cracking down on Conservative content. Many of you have complained that you never see our content in your news feeds. There’s only one way to fight back — and that’s by subscribing to my FREE weekly newsletter. Click here.
And don’t think the book banning is over.
Consider this question – if the Left was offended by the plot of To Kill a Mockingbird – how do you think they’re going to react to the New Testament?
This is what the “Tear Down the Statues” crowd has wrought on our nation.
