Florida Teacher Fired For Telling Kids She’s Pansexual
A Florida middle school teacher was fired after she told students that she was pansexual and then explained what that meant. For the record, pansexuals do not have an unnatural attraction to cast iron skillets or stainless steal pans.

Pansexual refers to someone who is attracted to all categories of people regardless of their sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
Casey Scott told NBC News that students were curious about her sexuality so she had a frank conversation with the class.
“A lot of the kids came up to me, like ‘Oh, well I’m non-binary’ and a couple kids said ‘Oh, well I’m bi. One kid said they’re gay,” Scott told WBBH.
She said the students at Trafalgar Middle School then created flags representing their own sexuality and gender identities ranging from transgender and non-binary to gay.
The school district ordered her to destroy the flags and then canceled her teaching contract.
Crystal Czyscon, an LGBTQ advocate told NBC News her concern is for the mental health of the transgender nonbinary students who were in Mrs. Scott’s classes.
“I would like to see a statement from the school board recognizing they have to have a mental health counselor come in and speak with the children impacted by their actions toward this teacher,” Czyscon concluded.
