JAIL TIME? University Says Misgendering is an ‘Act of Violence’

If you call Larry a dude even though Larry says he’s a gal, you could go to jail.

The University of Colorado’s Pride Office issued a statement saying that misgendering someone is an act of violence.

“Choosing to ignore or disrespect someone’s pronouns is not only an act of oppression but can also be considered an act of violence,” the guide added.

That declaration was posted in a guide on pronoun usage and first exposed by Campus Reform reporters.

“When someone refers to another person using the wrong pronouns, especially on purpose, that can lead to that person feeling disrespected and can lead to dysphoria, exclusion and alienation,” the guide says.

In other words, you could possibly face criminal charges? Is that what the university is threatening to do?

“If someone tells you their pronouns, use those! If you don’t know someone’s pronouns, don’t assume gendered pronouns and use gender-neutral ones, like they or ze,” the guide reads.

“Sometimes people just don’t want to share their pronouns and that’s fine,” the page adds. “Usually it’s safe to use they/them/theirs unless that person tells you otherwise.”

Now, it’s one thing if a pronoun confused student makes such a pronouncement. But for a university to do so – in it’s official capacity – is a disturbing development.

This is part of the Left’s ultimate goal – to criminalize any speech or idea they find offensive.

You will be forced to comply to the radical philosophy of the LGBT agenda. Every knee will be forced to bow before the rainbow flag.

Just so you understand – at the University of Colorado – having a difference of opinion could land you in the smaller.
