A Michigan State University professor is out of a job after she ordered students to fund Planned Parenthood.
Amy Wisner, a marketing professor at Michigan State, told 600 of her students to pay a $99 membership fee to join a political group that she controlled. Professor Wisner then donated the money to Planned Parenthood.
If you’re doing the math that’s nearly $60,000 every time she taught a class.
Two Christian students complained and filed a federal lawsuit.
“My money is in the hands of Planned Parenthood,” student Nathan Barbieri told Fox News Digital.
“For me, as a Christian, it’s our calling. We’re supposed to expose the bad things that happen and not just sit back and… be abused. That’s our job,” he said.
Alliance Defending Freedom is representing the young men.
They say university professors cannot force students to finance or support any political groups. And that being compelled to fund Planned Parenthood is a direct violation of their clients’ religious beliefs.
“University professors can’t force students to finance and support political advocacy groups that express messages they disagree with. Nathan and Nolan simply want to get a business degree without being compelled to pay membership fees that will be donated to Planned Parenthood or support speech that directly contradicts their religious beliefs,” said ADF Legal Counsel Logan Spena. “Michigan State officials have violated the First Amendment and federal civil rights laws by authorizing professors to force students to support speech antithetical to their deepest values and faith.”
Wisner runs a radical leftist group called “The Rebellion Community.”
“The Rebellion community is a safe place to coordinate our efforts to burn everything to the f***ing ground.” Wisner reportedly wrote on the group’s Facebook page. “100% of membership fees are donated to Planned Parenthood.”
Even the leftists who run Michigan State know the professor crossed the line. The university refunded all of the donations and fired Professor Wisner.
“I hold true to my Christian beliefs,” said Barbieri. “[My faith] really pushed me to get out there and do something about it, because I knew if I didn’t, you know, and if nobody else did, what stops this from happening again and again.”
