Parents in Los Angeles County are furious after a school board president invited a student choir to perform at a gay party that included shirtless male elves, a dirty Santa Claus and an open bar.
Steven Llanusa, a well-known Democrat in California, resigned just hours after angry parents unleashed their fury at a school board meeting. They accused the 62-year-old educator of exposing kids to inappropriate behavior.
“I’m truly disgusted with Mr. Llanusa’s behavior,” said Gabriel Lozano, a parent of a Claremont High School Choir member. “They were offered an open bar and to socialize with half-naked men, the Dirty Santa who made disgusting comments to our children.”

“Mr. Llanusa invited the high school choir group into his private adult party in his home,” Sabrina Ho, one of the teen’s parents told the school board at a special meeting, according to video shared by CBS Los Angeles. “They were encouraged to take part in food and festivities. The students didn’t begin their scheduled performance until over an hour later and were offered alcohol by party guests among inappropriately dressed adult entertainers.”
The school district said they were appalled by the allegations. Here’s their full statement:
“The District was notified of allegations of inappropriate conduct by adults toward a few of our high school choir students who were performing at an off-site, private party last Saturday evening, and law enforcement and the District are currently investigating the matter. I assure our school community that we are taking these allegations extremely seriously, which prompted us to immediately engage the Claremont Police Department who is now actively investigating this concerning situation. The District and school administration have taken steps to support and protect our students directly impacted by this incident, and we will continue to provide necessary supports. Additionally, we have been in touch with the students’ families to ensure they are aware of our actions to investigate the matter. Our paramount priority is to provide a safe and stable environment for all our students to learn and participate in extracurricular activities, and to this point, I want the Claremont school community to be assured that we will not condone any inappropriate behavior by adults toward our students.”

Llanusa is well-known in Democrat party circles. He’s been photographed with Vice President Kamala Harris.
