A Memphis elementary school produced a music video featuring a song that urges children to get vaccinated.
“We must stay safe, please vaccinate,” students at Perea Elementary School chanted.
The charter school’s leader, Deadre Ussery, told television station WMC the message came from students who have had to adjust to a new way of learning.
“Our students spent the last year doing virtual and hybrid learning, and they were well aware of what COVID was doing to our communities and in our families,” Ussery said. “And so they came back with a sense of angst and worry because they knew once again how devastating the disease could be in our community.”
The video features the children, decked out in masks and face shields, dancing in rooms adorned with pro-vaccine propaganda messages.
“Children love music right, and so, a lot of times that’s the way they learn and it will stay with them. So, they can take that home and spread the word all over,” songwriter LaChelle Walker told the television station.
Don’t be surprised if the kids perform a song worshipping Dr. Anthony Fauci, the patron saint of Wuhan.
Following, are the lyrics and music video.
Hey, we have something to say. It’s important please, we must stay safe.
Hey we have something to say, are you listening? Please vaccinate.
Wash your hands, sanitize, wear your mask, don’t jeopardize.
It’s important please, we must stay safe. Are you listening? Please vaccinate.
Men, women, boys and girls, everybody in the whole wide world, it’s important please, we must stay safe.
Are you listening? Please vaccinate.
We must stay safe. Please vaccinate.
We must stay safe. Please vaccinate.
We must stay safe. Please vaccinate.
Get the shot.
Get the shot.
Please, get the shot.
