An Indiana middle school teacher is facing a national firestorm of controversy after she was photographed in front of the White House wearing a t-shirt adorned with the numbers “8647.” The teacher was chaperoning students on a visit to Washington, D.C.

And now — the anti-Trump teacher is unemployed.

Middlebury Community Schools said it has strict policies that prohibit teachers from using their positions to promote partisan political views.

“This prohibition applies to all teachers, regardless of their political leanings, and to every partisan political message, regardless of its content,” the school district said. “Our educators should not be advocating personal political views, either directly or indirectly, to our students during the school day or while supervising students at a school function.”

The district swiftly investigated the matter and announced they would not be renewing her contract.

“After the conclusion of the school corporation’s interview, when informed the school corporation would be commencing the cancellation of her contract, the teacher submitted her immediate resignation. The teacher is no longer employed by the school corporation,” the district said in a statement.

They should have terminated her employment immediately and notified the Secret Service of her unhinged behavior.

Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith blasted the school district and noted it’s yet another reason why parents need choices for educating their children.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is OUR Indiana public school system,” the lieutenant governor wrote on X. “‘But Lt Governor, we aren’t indoctrinating our kids in a leftist, anti-American worldview within our Indiana public schools!’ Yeah right! That’s exactly what you’re doing! This is why we need a robust charter, private, and nonpublic school alternative in Indiana! Do better Elkhart County!”

The U.S. Constitution affords you the right to have a political opinion and to express that opinion. But it does not afford you the right to call for the assassination of the president of the United States.
