Teen Thugs Waving Mexican Flags Attack Cops, Try to Stone Elderly Man
An anti-ICE protest in Aurora, Illinois spiraled into chaos this week after teen thugs waving Mexican flags clashed with police, leaving officers injured and several teens arrested, according to local officials and news reports. The mob also tried to literally stone a man to death because he was holding a Trump banner and also attacked an elderly woman. The unrest erupted during a student-led walkout at East Aurora High School protesting federal immigration enforcement. Authorities say hundreds of students flooded streets, creating dangerous conditions and triggering confrontations with law enforcement.
Aurora Police Chief Matt Thomas said officers encountered resistance while attempting to restore order. “Officers were encountering active and ongoing resistance as they attempted to take individuals into custody,” Thomas said, adding that “no additional force beyond the takedown was used” despite continued resistance.
The police said one of the thugs “punched an officer in the head while that officer was attempting to take another person into custody. The offender was later treated for a hand injury sustained while punching the officer, and the officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a head injury requiring six staples.”
Police said demonstrators repeatedly ignored instructions to clear roadways and remain safe. According to the department, students “were given multiple opportunities to move out of traffic,” but those directives were refused.

The confrontation led to the arrest of three students on charges including resisting an officer and obstructing police, authorities said.
Law enforcement said the protest created unsafe conditions for both officers and the public. Police noted that walkouts involving roughly 1,500 students led to significant disruptions throughout the area.
The incident has sparked backlash from some activists and politicians, who criticized police tactics. Illinois State Sen. Karina Villa accused authorities of “police brutality” following the clash with teens.
Meanwhile, the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office announced an independent review of the police response, saying a “comprehensive review of all available materials” would determine whether officers followed department policy and the law.

Aurora Mayor John Laesch urged the mob to remain peaceful and avoid confrontation with police as additional protests were planned.
