It’s an unusual time in American history – an angry mob of anarchists and secularists are waging a fierce war on our culture. Statues torn down. Books and Music banned. They take a knee for the national anthem and remove God from the pledge of allegiance.
I wrote about this effort to whitewash American history in my new book – “Culture Jihad.”
And I suggested that it would not be long before the jihadists targeted the Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Monument.
“Culture Jihad” was published last September. And nearly one year later a committee has recommended removing or relocating the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial.
The committee was assembled by the District’s Democrat mayor – Muriel Bowser.
Their assignment was to make changes to dozens of monuments, schools, parks and government buildings with any connection to slavery or racism.
Among the names flagged on their list are Washington, Jefferson, Andrew Jackson and Benjamin Franklin.
It’s not exactly clear how the District’s lawmakers would fulfill their culture jihad — considering that the monuments on are federal property.
“Not on my watch,” Interior Secretary David Bernhardt wrote on Twitter. “Never going to happen.”
To be clear – Washington, D.C. is okay with honoring Black Lives Matter – but not our Founding Fathers. And unless we take a stand – America’s history be turned into a pile of rubble.
