Lawmaker Says Presidents Day is Racist

A commissioner in Shelby County, Tennessee is calling on lawmakers to rename Presidents’ Day because she consider it to be a racist holiday.

Commissioner Henri Brooks, who is black, sponsored a resolution titled “Racial Exclusion and Humiliation.” The resolution would rename Presidents’ Day to “Friends and Employee Holiday.”

The resolution read: “Recognizing and honoring all Black enslaved persons bought, sold, and bred for profit by United States Presidents; and who built the White House itself including most other major buildings in the 18th century United States, such as Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and James Madison’s Montpelier.”

Brooks drew the ire of Ben Deeter, the host of KWAM News Radio’s morning show.

“If Commissioner Brooks wants to talk about racist presidents, she should start with the current one in the White House,” said Deeter, one of the top radio hosts in the country. “Biden has a lengthy history of galavanting around with infamous racists and making unbelievably racists remarks.”

I wrote about how the Communists are rewriting our history in my new book, “Twilight’s Last Gleaming: Can America Be Saved?” There’s nothing racist about Presidents’ Day. And any elected leader who says otherwise should be removed from office. Click here to read my book.
