The following is a transcript of Todd’s morning commentary – heard on hundreds of radio stations around the nation.
Hello Americans, I’m Todd Starnes. Stand by for news and commentary next.
The conservative purge on social media continues. First, Twitter banned former President Trump and now they have banned Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Ms. Green was accused of violating the company’s China Virus policies forbidding what they call misinformation.
“We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy,” Katie Rosborough, a Twitter spokeswoman, said in a statement to The New York Times.
In response, the Georgia congresswoman called Twitter an enemy of the American people.
“Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth,” Greene said. “That’s fine, I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies.”

It’s beyond time for Congress to crack down on social media platforms that have been given special protections under the law.
Twitter and Facebook have every right to decide what is posted on their platforms, but they do not deserve special protections from lawsuits.
Unfortunately, Big Tech has deep pockets and very effective lobbyists on Capitol Hill.
And when push comes to shove – your elected leaders would much rather own a beachfront vacation home than defend your First Amendment freedoms.
