President Trump told reporters today he is considering a mandatory quarantine and travel ban on New York City. He may also impose quarantines on New Jersey and parts of Connecticut.
“Some people would like to see New York quarantined because it’s a hotspot — New York, New Jersey, maybe one or two other places, certain parts of Connecticut quarantined,” he said outside the White House.
I am giving consideration to a QUARANTINE of developing “hot spots”, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. A decision will be made, one way or another, shortly.

Several states, including Florida and Rhode Island, have already implemented mandatory quarantines for anyone coming from New York City.
“They’re having problems down in Florida, a lot of New Yorkers going down. We don’t want that,” Trump said. “I’d rather not do it, but we may need it.”
The president said the decision could come as early as today.
“This will be an enforceable quarantine, but hopefully we won’t need it,” he said.
