The Dearborn, Michigan-based workwear company told its associates, of which there are more than 5,500 worldwide, that the mandate in line with President Biden’s HHS and went into effect Jan. 4 will stand.

“We put workplace safety at the very top of our priority list and the Supreme Court’s ruling doesn’t impact that core value,” Valade added. “An unvaccinated workplace is both a people and business risk that our company is unwilling to take.”

Blaze TV host Elijah Schaffer shared an image of the email on Twitter Monday.

“Wow @Carhartt is subjecting their employees to medical abuse. Very bad look. Definitely should stop buying their products if you do.”

Carhartt employees have already protested the mandate

“All of us, you know associates, have worked completely through the COVID, you know through the pandemic. We’ve been loyal, we’ve been faithful and then now all of a sudden it’s like you’ve got to comply,” Angela Faulk, an employee at Carhartt, told WEVV in December. “We love Carhartt, working for Carhartt but we just feel like this decision is wrong.”
