US Cannot Survive Another China Virus Shutdown: Trish Regan
Trish Regan, the former Fox Business host, told the “Todd Starnes Show” on Wednesday that she does not believe the U.S. economy would be able to survive another coronavirus shutdown.
She said that the nation could be headed for an economic disaster and imagined a world where the country was locked down and Joe Biden was elected president. She theorized that his administration could feature Sen. Elizabeth Warren as Treasury Secretary and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as head of commerce or energy while she continues to sell her Green New Deal program.

“Let me tell you, that is a recipe for an economic disaster,” she said. She said the country would be heavily taxed and could face reparations that would almost mirror Venezuela.
The interview with Regan was wide-ranging. She mentioned the slow-moving disaster taking place in New York, where the City Council just voted to cut $1 billion from the NYPD budget in hopes to appease the angry mob.
Regan said anybody who has the ability has exited the city and has little interest in looking back. The city has been rocked by protesters, a dramatic increase in looting and shootings.
She said, in the future, the city is going to have real issues with tax revenues if enough millionaires and billionaires continue to take off for the sandy beaches of Florida or neighboring states. Regan said the U.S. does not seem too far removed from countries where residents rely on concrete walls and private security guards for protection.
“We’re in a really messed-up place right now,” she said.
But she said there has been a slow cultural shift in the country that has abandoned hard work and meritocracy. The new trend leans toward a what-can-you-give-me cultural mindset. She said the message from many protesters seems to encourage forgetting “meritocracy.”
“One group of people are starting with a different set of facts because of historical issues and, as such, it can never be made up and, as such, equality can never be achieved—thus you must change the deck,” she said, summing up the theory.
She said the message that is emerging is dangerous because the left has been so efficient in controlling the media and creating the message that there is no more room for debate. The philosophy is that if you take an opposing position, clearly you are racist and need to be canceled.
