300 Teens Riot in Downtown Chicago, Multiple People Shot
At least 300 teenagers rioted in downtown Chicago Friday night leaving multiple police officers injured. At least nine people shot while terrified families ran for their lives. Watch videos from the scene below and click here to get my exclusive breaking news reports delivered to your inbox.
There were at least two separate shootings – one in front of famed Chicago Theater and the other near the city’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Eyewitnesses said there were bodies all over the street.
“It was a violent fight,” one television news anchor said. “The Loop is covered in crime scene tape.”
The rioting young thugs physically attacked a number of police officers on State Street.
“These kids was wilding out all up and down State Street,” said one eyewitness.
Multiple police officers were attacked and injured with mace and stun guns. At least one officer was hospitalized, city leaders said.
“300 juveniles rioting in the Loop now, at least 5 victims shot, one critical with life threatening gunshot wound to torso,” Alderman Brian Hopkins wrote on X. “Multiple police officers attacked and injured with mace and stun guns, at least one PO hospitalized.”
