A person was arrested after driving a minivan into a Christmas parade in Hayden, Alabama prompting panic and screams from attendees Tuesday night, WVTM reports.
A band can be heard playing as the van drives into the front of the parade in the opposite direction, just weeks after the Waukesha parade attack that killed six and injured more than 60 people.
“Oh my God. Jesus Christ. Another one?” a witness said. Another commented: “They should stop the band.”
Hayden Police Chief James Chapman posted a statement on Facebook.
“I am thankful that no one was injured by this person,” Chapman said Wednesday morning. “The Hayden Police Dept has arrested this subject and initiated criminal and traffic charges. Thank you to all that assisted!”
Chapman said “if there is anyone who would like to make a police report for reckless endangerment needs to contact Hayden PD and we will get this process started.”
