A white man was brutally beaten by a black mob on Beale Street, according to a video posted to a Memphis-area social media page. Click here to join Todd’s private Facebook page for conservatives.
“This is a shame,” said the narrator on a page purported run by Cleo Buress. “This is very embarrassing for Memphis.”
Ms. Buress, who is black, was overcome by emotion as she narrarrated the early morning beatdown.
“They beat up this white man,” she said. “Where are the police? Where are they?”
She also condemned bystanders who crowded around to watch the attack, but refused to render an assistance to the victim.
“If your face is in this video, you are part of it,” she said. “You didn’t do anything. And it’s wrong. This is wrong.”
Memphis police have not offered a comment on what happened and there’s no word on what led up to the attack.
At one point someone picked up a giant garbage can and slammed it into the man at least two times. Video, which you can watch below, shows the man be savagely kicked and beaten on the ground.
There was no local television news coverage of the incident.
“If this was one of us, we would be outraged,” Ms. Buress said. “If this was a black person that you see this happen to, we would be outraged.”
The video, which was posted on July 3, shows the man stumbling away.
