Secret Service Confirms Incident

Secret Service confirmed in a statement the following: “

We are aware of reports of shots fired near 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW and are working to corroborate the information with personnel on the ground. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.”

That’s the area where Pennsylvania Avenue becomes blocked off by security barricades near the press entrance and visitor’s entrance to the White House.

FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement posted on X that agents are on the scene and supporting Secret Service.
