DEVELOPING STORY: There are multiple victims after a gunman opened fire at a lounge in downtown Blacksburg, Virginia. The shooting happened just after midnight near the campus of Virginia Tech.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are assisting in the area and following up on leads, a city spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, Virginia Tech students have been ordered to shelter in place on their campus.
“This was the most terrifying night. I was nearby with my friends and got the text about it, saw 4 ambulances at least,” one eyewitness said.
