UPDATE: 5:35: From the mother of a teenager who works at the mall: “My son works at a store there. Just got off the phone with him. I know police aren’t releasing any details but I know this is HORRIBLE. Please pray for all involved.”
DEVELOPING STORY: There are reports of deaths and injuries after a gunman opened fire at an outlet mall in Allen, Texas. As many as 30-40 shots were reportedly fired. Watch exclusive video from the scene below.
The shooting happened at the Allen Premium Outlets. One eyewitness posted photos of her car riddled with bullets.
“Do not go to the Allen outlet,” she wrote on social media. “Someone starting shooting…people were running and we were just trying to leave. The shooting was nonstop. My car got hit by two bullets. We are so grateful to be okay.”
There’s no word yet on the number of victims or whether the shooter has been arrested.
“I have never been so scared in my life,” one survivor wrote on Facebook. “Me, my mom and sister just had to run for our lives to make sure we got to a safe place. We can’t even go out anymore without people shooting. It is just scary that it was that close. I am just happy we made it out safe.”
