UPDATE: 2 Killed, Four Wounded in Haltom City, Texas, Including Three Cops
DEVELOPING STORY: At least three police officers have been shot by a gunman on the loose in Haltom City, Texas. Three civilians were also hit by gunfire and two did not survive.
“OK so we have an active shooter in the area,” an officer at the scene said a short while ago. “He is armed. Please leave for your safety. Please leave. He’s shot multiple people already. Please leave.”
Police have ordered a large section of the town, which is in the Dallas Metroplex, to remain under lockdown as officers search for the gunman.
Police described the gunman as a white man with a rifle who has dark hair and is wearing a blue shirt, blue pants and a “battle belt.” He was last seen in the area of Cedarcrest Drive, the Dallas Morning News reports.
