DEVELOPING STORY: Mass chaos and mayhem is being reported across Philadelphia as looters target dozens of stores and rioters clash with police. Looting has been reported at Lululemon, Foot Locker, Apple Store, North Face, Nordstrom Rack in the downtown area.
A police officer said more than 200 teenagers looted the Lululemon. Cellphone video shared with NBC10 shows a group running out of the Apple store after looting it.
A security guard at the Wendy’s, Hakeem Russel, said that the store next to Wendy’s along Chestnut was broken into and the guard was assaulted.
The violence was in response to a judge’s decision to dismiss charges against a police officer who shot a motorist in self defense.
