UPDATE: At least 13 people were shot and three people were killed at a grocery store in Fordyce, Arkansas. Two of the injured are law enforcement officers. The gunman was also shot and was taken into custody.
DEVELOPING STORY: At least 10 people were shot outside a grocery store in Fordyce, Arkansas. Two people were killed.
One law enforcement officer was among those shot and has non-life-threatening injuries. The gunman also has been shot and critically wounded by responding officers.

“At approximately 11:30 a.m. today, Arkansas State Police responded to a shooting incident at the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce,” said a news release from Arkansas State Police. “A total of nine civilians were shot, two fatally. One law enforcement officer was also shot and has non-life-threatening injuries.”
Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders posted a statement on X expressing her sorrow.
“I have been briefed on the tragic shooting in Fordyce, and I’m in constant contact with State Police at the scene. I am thankful to law enforcement and first responders for their quick and heroic action to save lives. My prayers are with the victims and all those impacted by this horrific incident,” she wrote.
