House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced that it’s time to begin an impeachment inquiry against President Biden.
“Through our investigations, we have found that President Biden did lie to the American people about his own knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings. Eyewitnesses have testified that the president joined on multiple phone calls and had multiple interactions, dinners resulted in cars and millions of dollars into his sons and his son’s business partners,” McCarthy said.
It’s the first step of the impeachment process.
The move comes as members of the House Freedom Caucus threaten to call a vote to vacate the chair. Conservatives are frustrated over the lack of movement. So far not a single member of the Biden Administration has been held accountable for wrongdoing.
McCarthy has been on record saying Biden has done nothing worthy of impeachment.

White House spokesman Ian Sams accused McCarthy of caving to House conservatives.
“McCarthy is being told by [Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.] to do impeachment, or else she’ll shut down the government,” Sams told Fox News. “Opening impeachment despite zero evidence of wrongdoing by POTUS is simply red meat for the extreme right wing, so they can keep baselessly attacking him.”

Here’s a friendly word of advice to Speaker McCarthy. Spend some time this afternoon taking selfies on the Speaker’s balcony. It’s one of the best views on capitol hill. Enjoy while you can. Because if you don’t impeach President Biden – your next office is going in the basement of the Cannon Building next to the janitor’s closet.
