DEVELOPING STORY: Hundreds of pro-Hamas mobs have shut down all bridges and tunnels leading into Manhattan causing a massive rush hour nightmare.
Video from the Citizen app showed group gathering on the Brooklyn Bridge, and protesters blocking entrances to the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg and Holland Tunnel.
The NYPD is making dozens of arrests. Meanwhile, there are massive delays on all major roadways leading into the city.
Here’s how the New York Post described the chaos:
Dozens of anti-Israel protesters swarmed three bridges and the Holland Tunnel in Lower Manhattan on Monday morning, blocking off traffic and creating chaos.
Demonstrators from the “Shut it Down for Palestine” rally marched through City Hall Park before groups of them descended on the bridges and tunnel, police said.
Just after 10 a.m., 40 demonstrators were on the Brooklyn Bridge, 12 on the Manhattan Bridge, 75 on the Williamsburg Bridge and 70 within the Holland Tunnel, the NYPD said.
