DEVELOPING STORY: Malmstrom Air Force Base is on lockdown today due to a “suspected real world threat.” Public Affairs said FPCON Delta has been implemented due to the incident.
Force Protection Condition Delta is the highest level of protection in the Department of Defense’s FPCON system.
Schools across Great Falls, Montana have been placed on lockdown. There are unconfirmed reports of an active shooter on the base.

Malmstrom Air Force Base was placed on lock down today due to a suspected real world threat located on base at building 219 at approximately 10:30 a.m. Air Force and emergency personnel are securing the area. FPCON Delta has been implemented at approximately 10:36 a.m. due to the incident.
Malmstrom officials are directing visitors and spectators to stay away from the building. Public cooperation will help protect against possible injuries and enable base agencies to more effectively deal with the situation.
