Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) blasted social conservatives over their silence on Speaker Mike Johnson’s sickening spending bill. The $1.3 trillion package was revealed in the middle of the night and lawmakers are expected to cast votes later today. Johnson, an evangelical Republican, is also violating the 72 hour rule — requiring members at least 72 hours to read a bill before voting.
“All you social conservative groups out there — all you so-called pro-life groups — where the hell are you? Crickets. Silence, because you care about political power more than the very thing you say you’re for,” Roy said.

“Transgender surgery at the Pentagon. Where are the social conservative groups? Cowering in the corner,” he added.
Johnson’s spending bill also provides funding for illegal aliens — an issue that has enraged Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
“Our Republican majority is a complete failure,” she said. “We have the power of the purse, which means we can control what the entire government does. Tomorrow Speaker Johnson is funding the government that has created this invasion.”
