At least one police car was set on fire and a number of windows were damaged after a horde of thugs attacked CNN Center in downtown Atlanta. Several police officers were injured.
Live video on CNN shows thugs throwing rocks and stones at police officers. At one point the rioters lobbed some sort of smoke grenade at the police.
Elsewhere there are reports of looting and vandalism across downtown Atlanta.
