Brutally Beaten Elderly Trump Supporter Has Died

A 69-year-old devoted supporter of President Trump who was brutally beaten outside his home in Escondido, California, has died.
Kerry Sheron had been in critical condition since Wednesday’s attack. CBS News in San Diego reports that the Army veteran died Sunday.
Deputy District Attorney Ross Garcia told CBS News the attack was unprovoked.
“It was a single punch to the jaw. The victim then falls to the floor, and there are subsequent hits to the victim’s head area, requiring the victim to be transported to the hospital,” Garcia told the television station.
The district attorney said the motive remains under investigation. However, Sheron’s wife of 20 years believes that their yard display played a role. “A lot of people – they don’t like the flags. I don’t know why. I support America – my husband is a veteran,” she told CBS 8 on Thursday.
The Sheron house and property, which is decorated with American flags and Trump flags, is known around town as the “Trump House.”

ORIGINAL STORY: Police say they found Kerry suffering from significant injuries outside of his home. A bystander saw the beating and intervened. The Good Samaritan was also injured.
Sheron’s wife, Marcia Garcia, told reporters that her husband was working on his truck when he was attacked. She said he is not expected to survive his injuries.

Police say 32-year-old Thomas Caleb Butler has been booked at the Vista Detention Center for attempted murder. Police have not identified a motive, but Garcia says she believes the attack was unprovoked and a result of their political views.
“Yes, it’s political stuff, I support Trump,” Sheron’s wife told Fox News in San Diego. She said they had been threatened many times over the past several years because of their support for President Trump.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) announced on X that he was “calling for a full and immediate investigation.
“Details still developing, but the truth is that supporters of (President Trump) are routinely the victims of leftist violence all across the country,” the congressman said.
Meanwhile, Trump supporters across Southern California have rallied outside the home to show their support to the elderly military veteran. And they also said they wanted to send a message that they will not be intimidated by Trump haters.
“If we don’t have freedom to put flags on our own homes, then we don’t have freedom,” said Christine Browne, a Trump supporter who drove from an hour away to be here.
“Things were not like this. People were not fighting about race, people were not fighting about political beliefs. My own daughter won’t talk to me and has not talked to me in a year, because of my political beliefs,” said neighbor Cheryl Piner.
