TODD: All right. Let’s go to Joy in North Carolina. Now, Joy, I understand you’ve got a story to share. What’s going on there?

CALLER: [01:09:35] Hey, Todd. Yes. My goodness. I had a Trump sticker on the back of my car. And I was at the grocery store. Well, when I came out and I put my groceries in the backseat, minding my business, and this kind gentleman came up and said, ‘Ma’am, you know, you’ve got a flat tire.’ I said, what? And so I went around and I said, my gosh. Well, it wasn’t like that before I came in. I mean, Todd it had been stabbed. I mean, slashed. He said, ‘Ma’am, do you have any enemies?’ Well, no, no. He said, well, he’s been slashed and then he’s looked. On the back of my car. Look at my. I said Trump. And he know he was very tired. He just said, Well, that may be the reason. I said, Well, why is he taking it out on me? So I had to wait over two hours for Triple-A to come and get my car fixed and get a new tire that cost me money. So I’m thinking, well, needless to say, I took the Trump sticker off my car.

TODD: [01:11:09] Well, Joy, a couple of questions here. Where did this happen? What town and what grocery store did this happen at?

CALLER: [01:11:17] Well, do you want me to say it?

TODD: [01:11:19] Go ahead. Yeah. Because. And there’s a reason I’m asking, so. Yeah. And it’s nothing nefarious.

CALLER: [01:11:23] Yeah. Sleepy little old thing. Still North Carolina. This is a small southern town, Todd.

TODD: [01:11:30] So. So this happened and this. And you said this happened in the parking lot. What sort of was this? Like a grocery store? A department.

CALLER:[01:11:36] Store? Yes, it was. It was a dare I say.

TODD: [01:11:41] You can say that. Yeah, go ahead. What’s the name of the grocery store?

CALLER: [01:11:44] Well, it was at the Food Lion.

TODD: [01:11:47] Okay. All right. So here’s what I would do, Joy. If I were you, I would go to the Food Lion. When did this happen, Joy?

CALLER: [01:11:57] Monday.

TODD:[01:12:00] Okay. All right. So here’s what I would do. I would I would go to Food Lion or call Food Lion and explain what happened and ask if there’s any security video, security footage and maybe the police could get involved and they can find out who slashed your tire.

CALLER: [01:12:16] I mean, it was ripped. And in the end, this time, gentlemen, because I think, like I said, I was putting groceries in the backseat of my car. I didn’t know. And he said, man, if you to you know, you have a flat tire. And I said, well, no. What?

TODD: [01:12:32] Joy. That’s just unacceptable. And I understand I understand why you took that Trump sticker off your car. I will tell you this, I, I don’t know if I would have done that. I would keep that Trump sticker on there. But I understand, you know, tires cost a lot of money. That’s why if I were you, I would call the grocery store and ask if they’ve got surveillance video and maybe the police can, you know, use that to find out whoever did that to you. That’s just unacceptable.

CALLER: [01:13:00] One of them is framed and turned away. And I thought, This is Statesville. We’re in a small southern town.

TODD: [01:13:07] It’s a beautiful town.

CALLER: [01:13:08] Going home.

TODD:[01:13:09] Well, Joy. And you sound like. Do you mind if I ask? Yeah. This is really impolite. You’re never supposed to ask a lady’s age, but what age range would you be?

CALLER: [01:13:19] I’m 60 years old.

TODD: [01:13:21] 60 years old. That’s just unacceptable. Joy, you keep us updated on this. But if I were you, I would call the police department. I would call Food lion. And let’s see if we can’t get some surveillance video because that’s just unacceptable. And enjoy. Nobody should have to live in fear because of who they vote for at the ballot box. Nobody. All right.

CALLER: [01:13:43] We thank you. All right.

TODD: [01:13:45] Joy, You’re welcome. And I would Joy, I want you to know you’re not alone. There are a lot of people in Statesville, North Carolina, who are Trump supporters. And I can promise you this, they’re going to stand alongside of you. And I suspect we’re going to hear from a lot of them in just a few moments. Folks, we’ve got to take a break here. Poor Joy. 60 years old, going to get groceries at the Food Lion in Statesville, North Carolina. She comes out and some yahoo slashed her tire. She’s got a Trump sticker on the back of her car. This is unacceptable, especially in North Carolina, for crying out loud. We’ll be right back.

TODD: All right. Real quick here, I want to go to the phone lines. We just had Joy from Statesville, North Carolina, calling – a sweet 60-year-old lady. Grocery shopping came out. She’s got a Trump bumper sticker on her car and somebody came and slashed her tire. I want to go to the phone lines because we have Mike listening on WSIC radio. And Mike, I understand you’re actually a manager for the Food Lion.

MIKE FROM FOOD LION: [01:15:01] Well, I’m not sure if it was the food line that this took place, but I am a manager in Statesville, North Carolina. And I just want to, you know, if you can let the lady know she still listening. We absolutely have surveillance cameras. We do not tolerate this type of behavior, no matter who you’re for. And if she would, you know, get with whatever store where this took place that we absolutely can take a look at the video cameras and get the police involved and hopefully prosecute folks that did this to her.

TODD: [01:15:34] Mike, I love that. And I can tell you, I’m a big fan of Food Lion. I wish you guys were here in Tennessee, in Memphis, because you guys are a patriotic company and also a great grocery store chain, by the way. And and I appreciate you helping this lady Enjoy. If you’re listening, reach out to your Food Lion and they’re going to be able to help you. Mike. Thank you for letting us know that information.

MIKE FROM FOOD LION: [01:15:58] Thank you, sir. Keep up the good work.

TODD: [01:15:59] All right. Thank you, brother. All right. That’s Mike, the manager of Food Lion. I love this radio show. I love all of our great affiliates. Joy, you hang in there. We got a lot of people that are pulling for you. All right. Hang tight, everybody.
