Hunter Biden has skirted Lady Justice for much of his adult life, but that may be about to change. Multiple news agencies are reporting that the Justice Department could be nearing a “critical juncture” in their investigations. The feds are reportedly probing Biden’s financial dealings.
“They’re looking at bringing tax charges, as well as false statements related to a gun that Hunter Biden bought during a time that he has now said he was struggling with drug addiction, which would have made him essentially, you know, that he could not have been able to qualify to buy that firearm. So those are what the charges that are possible at this point,” CNN’s Evan Perez reports.

The federal investigation into Hunter Biden’s business activities is nearing a critical juncture as investigators weigh possible charges and prosecutors confront Justice Department guidelines to generally avoid bringing politically sensitive cases close to an election, according to people briefed on the matter. While no final decision has been made on whether to bring charges against President Joe Biden’s son, sources say the probe has intensified in recent months along with discussions among Delaware-based prosecutors, investigators running the probe and officials at Justice Department headquarters. David Weiss, the US Attorney in Delaware, is leading the probe, which dates back to as early as 2018.
Discussions recently have centered around possibly bringing charges that could include alleged tax violations and making a false statement in connection with Biden’s purchase of a firearm at a time he would have been prohibited from doing so because of his acknowledged struggles with drug addiction.

In recent days, the president’s son has faced withering scrutiny over videos, photographs and text messages from his laptop that show him engaged in various sorts of illegal activities involving prostitutes and copious amounts of drugs.
Any federal charges would not be connected to the behavior documented on the younger Biden’s laptop.
CNN reports the Justice Department investigation initially focused on Hunter Biden’s financial and business activities in foreign countries dating to when Joe Biden was vice president. But investigators have examined a swath of broader conduct, including whether Hunter Biden and associates violated money laundering, campaign finance, tax and foreign lobbying laws, as well as whether Hunter Biden broke federal firearm and other regulations, multiple sources said.As the investigation has entered its final stages, prosecutors have narrowed their focus to tax and gun-related charges, the people say.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the ranking Republican on the House Oversight Committee, told Todd Starnes that they plan to call Hunter Biden to testify — under oath.
Well, you can expect Hunter Biden will get an invitation to come to the House Oversight Committee if he declines, he will be subpoenaed. If he refuses to show up, we will have in, you know, at the beginning of the new Congress, a Hunter Biden hearing. We’ll have his business associates there. We’ll have these bank CEOs there. We’ll find out exactly how many suspicious activity reports were filed. We’ll have an exact definitive answer as to why they were filed. And we’re going to try to take steps to determine, is Joe Biden the big guy? Was he getting a cut from all of these shady business dealings? And if so, that’s a serious problem. And the American people, you know, have been put at risk because of these shady business dealings from the Biden family.
STARNES: Alright, this is fascinating. And we’re going to stay on top of this. And I know that you are as well. Congressman, let’s hope and pray that the Republicans do retake Congress so we can get to the bottom of all of this.
COMER: Well, it’s going to be a priority for me if I’m chairman of the House Oversight Committee. I think the American people deserve answers. The Democrats never skipped any efforts to try to investigate the Trump family. They never found anything. I think we’ve already found more wrongdoing from the Biden family than they ever dreamed of making up on the Trump family.

A new Rasmussen Reports survey found that the majority of Americans believe Joe Biden was aware of Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings.
The Rasmussen Reports survey also shows that a whopping 55% of voters are “closely following” reporting about Hunter Biden’s laptop.
It found that 62% of voters believe the president benefited financially from the first son’s business relationships in China, including 44% who say it is “very likely.”
And 69% reject the president’s assertions that he doesn’t talk to his son about business — 49% say the president “very likely” knew and just 22% think he was unaware of his son’s business relationships.
But a majority — 56% — believe Hunter Biden will not be prosecuted.

From Newsmax: Rep. James Comer says investigating Hunter Biden is like tracking a “bleeding bear through a snowstorm.”
Hunter Biden has done some “very serious things” and has not been coy about covering his trail, according to Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., who told Newsmax that investigating him is “like tracking a bleeding bear through a snowstorm.”
“He’s left all sorts of evidence along the way: the emails, the phone messages, the bank records,” Comer, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, told Wednesday’s “Rob Schmitt Tonight.” “You know, there’s no question that Hunter Biden has committed many crimes here.
“The question is, first of all, what’s the Department of Justice going to do about it? And then the next question is what does Joe Biden have to do with any of these crimes?”

Fox News Channel is quoting sources who say the charges could involve a number of tax invasions.
The investigation is being conducted by Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, a prosecutor appointed by former President Trump.
The source told Fox News Wednesday that Weiss and Justice Department officials were looking into whether to charge Hunter Biden with various tax violations and, more seriously, possible foreign lobbying violations. The source said Hunter Biden could face possible false statements charges.
But the source said no final decision has been made on whether to charge Hunter, and stressed that the investigation is ongoing.
Fox News first reported in December 2020 that Biden was a subject/target of the grand jury investigation, according to a well-placed government source. According to the source, a “target” means that there is a “high probability that person committed a crime,” while a “subject” is someone you “don’t know for sure” has committed a crime.”
