Former FBI Director James Comey is facing massive backlash after he posted a photo on his Instagram page calling for the assassination of President Donald Trump.
An image of seashells that had been arranged on the beach to spell “86 47” was posted on Comey’s personal Instagram account. The numbers “86” is code for killing someone or putting a hit on someone.
“Cool shell formation on my beach walk,” Comey wrote.
Some fear Comey’s bizarre message may be some sort of a message to sleeper cells.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that the Secret Service and Homeland Security are investigating the former. FBI director.

“Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey just called for the assassination of @POTUS Trump. DHS and Secret Service is investigating this threat and will respond appropriately,” she wrote on X.

FBI Director Kash Pantel wrote on X that he was aware of Comey’s message targeting the president.
“We are in communication with the Secret Service and Director Curran. Primary jurisdiction is with SS on these matters and we, the FBI, will provide all necessary support,” he wrote.
The White House issued a statement Thursday night calling Comey’s post deeply disturbing.
“While President Trump is currently on an international trip to the Middle East, the former FBI Director puts out what can clearly be interpreted as ‘a hit’ on the sitting President of the United States—a message etched in the sand,” White House Deputy Chief of Staff Taylor Budowich wrote on X. “This is deeply concerning to all of us and is being taken seriously.”
Comey deleted the image and posted a message saying that he was not aware that the numbers “86 47” were inappropriate.
“I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message. I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kid so I took the post down,” he wrote.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) demanded that Comey face consequences.
“This is a direct THREAT against President Trump, who has already survived two assassination attempts. BEYOND despicable. James Comey MUST face consequences,” Tuberville wrote on X.
Donald Trump, Jr. also weighed in, “Just James Comey causally calling for my dad to be murdered. This is who the Dem-Media worships. Demented!!!!”
At the very least the Secret Service and FBI should’ve conducted a guns-drawn, pre-dawn raid on Comey’s house. He should’ve been dragged onto his front lawn in handcuffs with CNN cameras pre-positioned in the bushes. His mug shot should’ve already been posted on national television.
That’s how the previous administration dealt with Trump staffers, pro-lifers, Catholics, law-abiding gun owners, concerned parents and even President Trump. The fact that Comey is not in jail this morning is yet another troubling sign that our 3-letter agencies are still controlled by the Deep State. It’s business as usual.
