Outraged neighbors confronted a group of loud and nasty thugs who gathered outside the Washington, D.C. home of Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO).
“Tonight while I was in Missouri, Antifa scumbags came to our place in DC and threatened my wife and newborn daughter, who can’t travel,” Hawley wrote on Twitter. “They screamed threats, vandalized, and tried to pound open our door. Let me be clear: My family & I will not be intimidated by leftwing violence.”
The Washington Post, however, described the late night protest as a peaceful, candlelight vigil. However, video shows a very different situation.
“They screamed threats, vandalized, and tried to pound open our door,” Hawley said. “Now ‘vigil’ means screaming threats through bullhorns, vandalizing property, pounding on the doors of homes and terrorizing innocent people and children.”
Hawley was the first Republican senator to announce that he plans to raise objections when Congress meets for a joint-session meeting later this week for the final certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s win.
Shutdown DC defended its foul behavior.
“It was a candlelight vigil, snowflake,” they wrote on Twitter. “And your house isn’t in DC, it’s in a suburb 30 mins outside of the District. You’re supposed to be representing Missouri in the senate. Why did you move your primary residence to the Virginia suburbs.”
That was no peaceful protest. That was an attempt to intimidate and bully a duly elected lawmaker.
I recommend that every law-abiding homeowner in America arm themselves. You have a responsibility to protect your property and your family from these terrorist thugs.

This was no candlelight vigil, this was an attempt to terrorize @HawleyMO’s family, his wife & kids, and neighbors, you made that very clear.
This is what those leftist socialist anarchists want to do to this country, tomorrow Georgia gets a chance to reject them! https://t.co/9SQxe6bHlG pic.twitter.com/MBTsBRIeSf
