Citizens of Los Angeles are literally living in fear of their lives as gangs of criminals target law-abiding homeowners across the city. In response to the massive crime wave, the Los Angeles Police Department is urging people to do as the criminals say.
The LAPD issued a “Community Alert Notification” and “Area Safety Bulletin” offering on guidance on what to do should they come face to face with a thug.
They are especially concerned about an increase in violent street robberies and home invasion robberies.
“Due to an increase in violent street robberies, Robbery-Homicide Divisions has become aware of an ongoing crime trend of follow-home robberies,” the alert reads. “Suspects have been locating victims in Los Angeles, following them, and then committing the robberies as the victim arrives home or at their business.”
The release added:
“If you are being robbed, do not resist the robbery suspects; cooperate and comply with their demands. Be a good witness.”
In the Southern states we were raised to fight back – even if you don’t have a gun. A cast iron skillet can develop quite a wallop.
Unfortunately, there aren’t too many cast iron skillets or guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens in Californians.
