DEVELOPING STORY: The Santa Monica Pier has been evacuated after a man climbed onto the Ferris wheel claiming to have a bomb. All roads around the pier have been shut down. There are passengers aboard the Ferris wheel and the appear to be uninjured. The suspect is wearing some sort of a backpack, but it’s unclear at this point if in fact he has an explosive device.
