The governor of Massachusetts is calling on citizens to open their homes to illegal aliens.
Governor Maura Healey – a Democrat – is asking folks in the commonwealth to provide a room or an apartment for just a few days.

Many of the illegals arriving in Boston are from third world countries like Haiti (or California).
Citizens who open their doors to the unvetted illegals would not be compensated by the state – but they would be provided with gift cards.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams floated a similar idea last month, but even New Yorkers know a bad idea when they see one.
“There are residents who are suffering right now because of economic challenges. They have spare rooms. They have locales,” the mayor said.
So, why not give them rooms at Gracie Mansion, Mr. Mayor?
Back in the Bay State taxpayers are already spending millions of dollars to house illegals in hotels and motels.
But as Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr pointed out – the state’s wealthiest and most liberal communities have not exactly rolled out the red carpet.
The citizens of Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and Cambridge will not have to house the illegals.
Which is a shame because I’m pretty sure you could fit about two or three dozen illegal aliens in Barack Obama’s seaside mansion in Martha’s Vineyard.
Better yet, how about county jail? What better place for people who have breached our borders and violated our national sovereignty?
