Meet Paul Contreras, one of the men who sprang into action and tackled a man who opened fire on Kansas City Chiefs football fans at Wednesday’s Super Bowl rally. Watch below.
Contreras was at the parade with his three daughters when he thought he heard fireworks. It turned out to be gunfire.
That’s when Contreras saw a man running another man chasing him and yelling for someone to stop him.
“I didn’t hesitate,” Paul told television station KETV.
He said he saw a gun fall out of the alleged shooter’s hand, as he and another bystander tackled him.
“The whole time he’s fighting to get up and run away,” he told the television station. “We’re fighting each other, you know. We’re fighting to keep him down and he’s fighting to get up.”
