After months of the Left calling for efforts to defund the police, it turns out that their plan is backfiring.
Cities with understaffed law enforcement, such as the crime-ridden city of Chicago, are startling examples of what defunding the police actually looks like. ABC Chicago reports that as of the beginning of July, there have been over 1,900 shooting victims.
Well, the American people are jumping off the Left’s anti-police ship.
A new Hill-HarrisX poll reports that 44 percent of survey participants want more policing in their local communities.
The survey, which gathered answered from over 900 registered voters, found that only 7 percent of respondents want less law enforcement presence.
Only 29 percent of black voters want more law enforcement in their community. On the other hand, 61 percent of those black participants want the same amount of law enforcement, not less.
As the public opinion on law enforcement appears to be shifting, the Democrats are now trying to shift the blame for their rhetoric.
However, conservatives are the ones still defending law and order, not the Left. And the public has had enough of this skyrocketing crime that’s starting to affect their daily lives.
