Three members of the New York City Police Department were violently attacked by a raging mob Wednesday crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. One of the officers suffered a broken eye socket. Several others were left bloodied and beaten.
Police officers were attempting to arrest someone when they were set upon by the savage thugs.
Among those severely injured was Terence Monahan, the chief of the department.
