DEVELOPING STORY: Former NFL running back O.J. Simpson, who was dubiously acquitted of murdering his ex-wife, has died. He was 76.
“On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer,” Simpson’s family wrote on X.
He died surrounded by his children and grandchildren, they said.
Simpson was famously acquitted in the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman.
