Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) called on President Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act and call out the U.S. military.
“Anarch, rioting and looting needs to end tonight,” Cotton wrote on Twitter. “If local law enforcement is so overwhelmed and needs backup, let’s see how tough these Antifa terrorists are when they’re facing off with the 101st Airborne Division.
Amen, senator.
The Arkansas Republican called on the president to use the Insurrection Act, a law passed in 1807 that authorizes the use of the U.S. military on American soil, the Washington Times reported.
Anarchy, rioting, and looting needs to end tonight.
If local law enforcement is overwhelmed and needs backup, let’s see how tough these Antifa terrorists are when they’re facing off with the 101st Airborne Division.
We need to have zero tolerance for this destruction.
